Mando maestro Andrew Collins finds himself at the epicentre of Canada’s burgeoning acoustic/roots music scene. That’s not to mention the fact that this prolific, robust performer – comfortable on mandolin, fiddle, guitar, mandola and mandocello – composes, produces, arranges, writes and teaches across multiple genres, including a popular collision of folk, jazz, bluegrass, celtic, and classical.

Collins has gathered up innumerable JUNO nominations (5) and Canadian Folk Music Awards (7) won by his various ensembles all by showcasing a dizzying number of styles and instruments on stage.

Another sold out show!  Big Little Lions only has two band members, Paul and Helen, but if you closed your eyes, you would swear there were three more people on the stage!  They have smart songs,  great singing, outstanding instrumentation and unbelievable harmony.  They are meant to be seen live.

]]><![CDATA[5 on a string]]>Tue, 14 Aug 2018 07:00:00 GMThttps://www.sneddenhouseconcerts.com/pastshows/5-on-a-stringIt was an honour to host BC's longest running Bluegrass band, 5 ON A STRING, for a summer house concert!  5 on a String has been picking and singing bluegrass music all around the Pacific Northwest for over twenty-five years. The 5 on their strings are: Hugh Ellenwood on fiddle, Garry Stevenson on guitar, Gordie Sadler on banjo, Dan Mornar on upright bass, and Tim Eccles on mandolin.
