Roxanne Potvin
TUESDAY, MAY 14, 2019
Fresh off her tour with Colin James, Roxanne Potvin will be taking the time to give an intimate concert right here in our home! As a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer with pop smarts, Roxanne Potvin’s undeniable soul has ceaseless drive to keep pushing herself in uncharted directions leading her to the release of her 6th studio album, “All it Was”, released last fall. The album illuminates the ambiguity between freedom and loss, desire and disillusion at the end of a long relationship. With a JUNO nomination, seven Maple Blues awards nominations, international tours, major festival appearances including Montreal Jazz Festival and Ottawa Bluesfest, national television and radio appearances including Radio 2 Drive, “Q”, Belle et Bum in Quebec and regular spins across the CBC/Radio-Canada network, Roxanne continues to carve her place in the Canadian roots music scene.
STORY HOUSE
TUESDAY, AUGUST 13, 2019

Maiken de Villiers, Jake de Villiers, Tim Eccles and Pete Goodall are Story House. They have been active in the Pacific Northwest bluegrass scene for a good long time. The members of Story House have played everything from folky singer-songwriter stuff to rock and roll, jazz, country and twin-fiddle Bill Monroe style bluegrass.
The band features mainly original songs and tunes, mixed with covers of great songs both old and new. Though all four members of the band sing, Jake & Maiken’s arresting duet singing is the cornerstone of the band’s vocal sound.
We are lucky to have them for a summertime bluegrass concert right here in our home!
